June 12 is World Day Against Child Labor.
The occasion to recall that one of the fundamental principles of fair trade is the refusal of the exploitation of children, by facilitating at best access to care and education.

Figures from the International Labor Organization show that around 10 million children work for an export activity, that is to say, ultimately, for Western companies.
The sectors most exposed to this kind of practice are textiles, carpet manufacturing, tobacco or cocoa harvesting for large international groups. In most cases, these children are enslaved or forced to work, and find it very difficult to get help, not only because they are young, but also because they have no birth certificate or official documents and that they are therefore "invisible" in the eyes of the authorities.

By buying "better", we can help improve this deplorable situation.
