From Wednesday November 4 at 4:16 p.m.*, women work for free because of wage inequalities, and this until the end of the year.
Indeed, according to Eurostat, the pay gap in France between women and men is around 15.5%.
To condemn these inequalities and ask the government to act, the Les Glorieuses collective invites you to sign this petition and share the hashtag #4Novembre16h16
Here are their five proposals for a feminist economic recovery plan:
- Condition access to public contracts, the obtaining of public subsidies and that of loans guaranteed by the State on respect for equal pay within its structure.
- Strengthen the Equality Index by creating a compulsory equality certificate for companies.
- Enhance the salaries of jobs where women are the most numerous, such as care jobs.
- Include women in decisions related to the recovery plan.
- Support paternity leave equivalent to maternity leave.
(*) The date is calculated by taking the difference in gross hourly average pay between women and men, in all sectors, and converting it into the number of working days.
